Internal Scheduler

A market leading Aerospace client of ours is currently in the market for an Internal Scheuler to join their business based in Burnley. As an internal scheduler, stablish a realistic short term supply plan that satisfies the MPS, direct customer orders, and stock policy targets. To test the feasibility of the plan by performing detailed capacity planning and resolving imbalances.

Day-to-day duties include:

• Create a short-term supply plan to meet MPS, orders, and stock targets.
• Check feasibility with capacity planning and resolve imbalances.
• Set ERP parameters aligned with stock policy/strategy.
• Review MRP, process exceptions, and adjust orders.
• Sequence production to reduce wasted time, incl. subcontracting.
• Allocate resources and confirm plan feasibility.
• Communicate and negotiate changes with suppliers/UAPs.
• Provide load/capacity visibility and solutions to imbalances.
• Track defects, adjust schedules, and update ERP stock.
• Oversee deliveries, returns, and subcontractor work.
• Report KPIs, investigate misses, and implement fixes.
• Manage approved technical changes.
• Close and archive completed orders.

The right candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Good knowledge and understanding of the principles of MRP2
• Basic knowledge of business economics
• Understand the basic rules of customs and transport
• Familiar with the organisation of their unit and have a detailed vision of the production processes and supply chain
• Familiar with the information systems used in the Supply Chain: ie ERP, Supplier Portal.
