Job Title: Maintenance Electrician
Location: Sheffield
Salary: 37,000 + 20% Shift Allowance
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Job Description:

Adept Resourcing is recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Electrician on behalf of a well-established heavy engineering and manufacturing firm based in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company that is investing heavily in its people, plant, and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial systems

• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as overhead AC/DC cranes, hydraulic and radial presses, and associated systems

• Carry out electrical installations in line with current standards

• Diagnose faults across AC and DC control systems to minimise downtime

• Work safely and in compliance with company procedures and regulations

• Liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate maintenance activities and schedules

• Work at height and in operational areas, following appropriate safety protocols

Requirements:

• Fully qualified electrician

• 17th Edition wiring regulations or equivalent

• Solid understanding of industrial electrical installations

• Proven experience in AC/DC control fault-finding

• Background in maintaining heavy industrial equipment

• Familiarity with planned and predictive maintenance practices

• Comfortable working a rotating shift pattern

Shift Pattern:
Continental shifts - 06:00 to 18:00 and 18:00 to 06:00 (average 40 hours per week)
