Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Birkenhead, Wirral

Salary: 15- 16 per hour depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Company Overview:

Our company are a well-established precision engineering company in Birkenhead, Wirral, specialising in high-quality subcontract machining solutions for Valves

Role Overview:

They are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in Turning or Milling. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting, and operating CNC lathes or Mills to manufacture precision components to exact specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting, and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls.(Programming not essential, happy to train)
• Manufacturing precision components from various materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminium, and plastics.
• Conducting first-off inspections using precision measuring tools such as verniers, thread gauges, and micrometers.
• Ensuring consistent quality and adherence to tight tolerances.
• Managing prototype and batch production efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a precision engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc or Hass
• Experience working with CNC lathes or mills
• Ability to set up and reset machines multiple times per day.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to perform quality inspections.
• A proactive and reliable work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple machines simultaneously.
