Counterbalance Forklift Driver

A1 Jobs have an immediate need for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload goods. This role is crucial for maintaining an organised and safe working environment while ensuring that all materials are handled with care.

Additional shift allowance at 20 %.

Must have counterbalance and combi ticket.

Duties

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport goods throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from lorries and containers, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using a Warehouse Management System.
• Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Assist in shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly stored.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow within the warehouse.

Requirements

• Proven experience in materials handling and forklift operation is essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic equipment repairs as needed.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Basic maths skills for inventory tracking and record keeping.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
• A valid forklift operator s licence is required.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety practices in the workplace.
