Converting Operator (2 x opportunities)

Full Time – 3-shift on 12-hour patterns incorporating days, nights, and some weekends.

Weidmann Whiteley is a global leader in electrical insulation for transformer manufacturers and users. Our core competence is in the development and production of customised cellulose-based insulation systems for power and distribution transformers, we also offer our expertise and products for high-temperature applications like locomotive and wind turbine transformers.

Outside of the electrical industry, our paper manufacturing competence has been widely used to develop innovative solutions for different industries, ranging from packaging to textile and paper converting.

The Role:

Making safety in the workplace primary, you will be operating machinery that delivers value to the business through flexible working. Adhering to strict tolerances you will produce a variety of finished products to meet customer specifications.

Who are we looking for?

Loyal and committed, with great character and sound communication skills, you will thrive both working as part of a team and alone. An understanding of the principals of lean manufacturing would be beneficial for this position.

Full training will be provided, however we would particularly like to hear from those who have:

• Previous paper manufacturing/converting experience
• Continual operation experience in other manufacturing industries
• Forklift Truck experience and/or licence
• Pendant Crane experience
