SEN Teacher - KS3/KS4 (SEMH & Autism) Location: East London Start Date: January 2026 Contract: Full-time, Long-term with opportunity to go permenant Pay: £180 - £230 per day Remedy Education are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher to join a supportive special school in East London from January. The role involves teaching a small class of Year 9-11 learners who are working between Entry Level 2 and Level 1. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys working in a nurturing, structured setting and can engage learners with SEMH and Autism through creative, differentiated teaching. The role: Plan and deliver tailored lessons to a class of 10 formal learners working between Entry Level 2 and Level 1 Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that supports emotional and social development Adapt teaching materials to meet a range of learning styles and cognitive abilities Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff to support individual needs Monitor progress, record outcomes, and report effectively to the SENCO and senior leadership team Promote independence, confidence, and resilience in all learners The ideal candidate will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent Have experience teaching in SEN, SEMH, or Autism settings Understand the needs of learners working below age-related expectations Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and strong communication skills Be patient, empathetic, and committed to helping young people achieve their full potential About the class: Learners: Year 9-11 (working from Entry Level 2 to Level 1) Number of pupils: 10 Profile: Formal learners with SEMH and Autism Behaviour: Some social and emotional challenges, but no physical behaviours observed This is a rewarding role for a teacher who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people who benefit from consistent support, understanding, and encouragement.
