High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire (Office Based) 💰 £43,000 – £47,000 Basic + Uncapped Performance Bonus 🚗 Full Time | Permanent ABOUT DARV LTD Darv Ltd is an established property maintenance and refurbishment contractor delivering works across London, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Hertfordshire. We work with housing providers, almshouse charities, care organisations, managing agents and commercial property owners, delivering planned maintenance, refurbishments, kitchens, bathrooms, disabled adaptations, communal works, compliance services and reactive maintenance. We are now looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help drive the next phase of growth. THE ROLE This is not a "sit back and wait for enquiries" role. We need someone who can proactively identify opportunities, build relationships, open doors and create new business opportunities. You will be responsible for developing relationships with decision makers across: Housing Associations Almshouse Charities Care Homes Managing Agents Property Management Companies Local Authorities Commercial Property Owners Main Contractors The successful candidate will work directly with the Directors and play a key role in expanding the company's client base. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES New Business Development Generate and qualify new business opportunities Build relationships with key decision makers Arrange meetings for Directors Research target organisations and opportunities Develop prospect pipelines Follow up enquiries and leads Maintain CRM records and sales activity Relationship Management Develop long-term client relationships Maintain regular contact with prospective clients Attend networking events and industry functions Represent Darv Ltd professionally at all times Identify upcoming projects and procurement opportunities Sales Support Assist with tender opportunities Coordinate introductory meetings Manage follow-up communications Support proposal and presentation preparation Help develop marketing campaigns and outreach initiatives Market Intelligence Monitor procurement portals Identify framework opportunities Research competitors and market trends Report opportunities to Directors WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Essential Previous business development or sales experience Strong communication skills Confidence speaking with senior decision makers Self-motivated and target driven Professional telephone manner Strong organisational skills Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously Excellent written communication Competent with Microsoft Office and CRM systems Highly Desirable Experience within: Property Services Construction Housing Associations Facilities Management Social Housing Property Maintenance Existing industry contacts Tendering experience Procurement knowledge LinkedIn Sales Navigator experience PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES We are looking for somebody who: Opens doors rather than waits for opportunities Is commercially aware Takes ownership of their pipeline Is resilient and persistent Enjoys building long-term relationships Is motivated by success and performance bonuses Wants to grow with an ambitious business WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE Within the first 12 months: Build a strong sales pipeline Establish relationships with key target organisations Generate regular meeting opportunities Create new tender opportunities Contribute directly to company growth Become a trusted representative of Darv Ltd PACKAGE Salary £43,000 – £47,000 DOE Bonus Uncapped performance bonus linked to: New opportunities generated New clients secured Revenue growth Contract wins Benefits * Company pension * Career progression opportunities * Direct access to Directors * Long-term growth potential IMPORTANT This role is ideal for somebody who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities and helping grow a business.
