Manual Machinist 📍 Sheffield | 🕒 Full-Time | 🏢 On-Site The Opportunity We are currently recruiting for a skilled Manual Machinist to join a busy and well-established machine shop. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality components to precise specifications, ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards. Working Hours for the Manual Machinist * 40 hours per week * Rotating weekly shifts (Days & Nights) Days: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:30 Nights: Monday – Thursday, 18:00 – 04:00 (finish Friday morning) * 33% shift allowance applied on night shifts Key Responsibilities for the Manual Machinist * Machine components from engineering drawings to exact specifications * Operate manual lathes and associated equipment * Ensure all work meets required quality standards * Interpret technical drawings accurately * Maintain a clean and safe working environment * Work to production targets and deadlines About You and Your Manual Machinist Experience * Experience operating manual lathes * Ability to read engineering drawings * Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds, and speeds * High attention to detail * Good communication and teamwork skills * Flexible and proactive approach Location On-site in Sheffield Apply Now If you’re interested in this role, click ‘apply now’ to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
