Energy Modelling Specialist Epsom £40,000 – £48,000 A growing multidisciplinary sustainability consultancy is looking to appoint an Energy Modelling Specialist to support the delivery of commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects across the built environment. This opportunity is suited to someone with strong technical expertise in IES VE and proven experience delivering detailed building performance and compliance modelling within a consultancy environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting energy strategies, operational performance analysis, and sustainability compliance across a diverse range of projects. The Role Key responsibilities will include: Delivering dynamic simulation modelling using IES VE (ApacheSim) Producing TM52 overheating assessments and TM54 operational energy modelling Completing non-domestic EPCs and BRUKL reports Supporting Part L compliance and passive design analysis Contributing towards BREEAM energy credits including ENE 01, ENE 04, and HEA01 Assisting with low and zero carbon feasibility studies Producing clear, technically accurate, client-facing reports Working closely with architects, contractors, MEP engineers, and wider design teams Managing multiple live projects and meeting delivery deadlines independentlyThe Ideal Candidate Strong hands-on experience using IES VE within a consultancy setting Proven experience delivering TM52, TM54, and EPC modelling outputs Good understanding of UK Building Regulations Part L and dynamic simulation modelling principles Experience supporting BREEAM energy and sustainability assessments Ability to independently produce high-quality technical documentation Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (2:1 preferred)Desirable Experience NABERS UK assessment exposure Experience working on CAT A / CAT B commercial fit-out projects Familiarity with Part O overheating assessmentsThe consultancy is open to both strong mid-level candidates and more experienced professionals capable of leading modelling workstreams and supporting wider project delivery.
