Location: Liverpool Salary: Up to £38,000 DOE + Benefits Experience: 1–2 Years Ocean Freight (Forwarding) We’re looking for a Sea Freight professional who wants to own their desk. In this role, you aren’t just "passing files"—you are the expert in charge of the shipment from the second the pre-alert hits your inbox to the moment the container is delivered. The Day-to-Day: * End-to-End Imports: Manage LCL/FCL movements from global origins (Asia/USA) to UK door. * Vessel & Port Control: Monitor arrivals, manage CNS/Destin8, and coordinate with shipping lines for seamless release. * Customs Mastery: File precise import entries via CDS, manage duty/VAT calculations, and handle deferment accounts. * The Last Mile: Partner with hauliers to ensure timely de-vanning and final delivery. * Client Relationship: Be the dedicated "go-to" for your accounts—quoting, tracking, and proactive problem-solving. * Commercial Polish: Own your file's P&L—accurate cost accruals and prompt invoicing. What You’ll Bring: * Proven Track Record: At least 1–2 years in a Sea Freight Forwarding import environment. * Technical DNA: A rock-solid understanding of Incoterms, Bills of Lading, and UK Customs (CDS). * Local Expertise: Familiarity with Liverpool port operations is a massive plus. * The "Start-to-Finish" Mindset: You take pride in seeing a job through to completion.
