CNC Miller Machinist (3 & 5 Axis) Permanent | £35,000 – £43,000 + Overtime We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, UK-based precision engineering firm that supply high-quality machined components into aerospace, satellite communications, motorsport and medical sectors. This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machining Centre Setter / Operator to join a skilled engineering team producing high-tolerance components in small to medium batch volumes. The Role You will be responsible for setting and operating 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centres, working to tight tolerances and high-quality standards. Key responsibilities include: * Setting and operating 3 & 5 Axis CNC machining centres * Working on state of the art Milling machines with Fanuc controls * Producing precision aerospace components to exact specifications * Programme optimisation and continuous process improvement * In-process inspection and quality checks * Working in line with AS9100 quality standards * Supporting team development with scope to progress into a Section Leader role Requirements * Proven experience setting and operating 3 & 5 Axis CNC milling machines * Experience working with Fanuc controls (essential) * Background in aerospace or other high-precision environments * Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Comfortable working to tight tolerances * Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset Package & Benefits * Salary: £35,000 – £43,000 (dependent on experience) * Hours: 39-hour week or 42 hour week (flexible) * Overtime: Regular overtime available, paid at 1.5x * Holidays: 25 days annual leave + all public holidays * Access to additional employee benefits * Clear progression into a Section Leadership role for the right candidate
