GP Practice - Practice Nurse Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire Hours: Part-Time or Full-Time Salary: Up to £43,000 per annum About the role We are seeking an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly, patient-focused GP practice (list size ~10,500). The ideal candidate will be confident delivering a range of practice nursing services and proactive in patient care. Key responsibilities Chronic disease management (diabetes, asthma, COPD) Cervical cytology Childhood & adult immunisations Wound care and dressings Contraceptive advice NHS Health Checks and screening Health promotion and lifestyle advice Infection prevention & control Support in achieving QOF, IIF, and other quality targets Support training for nurses and healthcare assistants, depending on experienceAbout us Our team of ~30 staff includes GPs, advanced clinical practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff. Person specification Essential: NMC registration Experience as a Practice Nurse in general practice Up-to-date skills in chronic disease management Good communication and team-working skills Competent in using SystmOneDesirable: Independent prescribing qualification Additional qualifications in chronic disease management Minor illness or triage experience
