Are you an experienced Service Manager ready to lead a high-performing Service department within a prestige main dealer? Our client — a well-established and successful dealership in Rayleigh — is looking for a confident Aftersales leader to take ownership of their Service operation. Whether you currently operate as a Service Manager, Aftersales Manager, Assistant Service Manager, or Service Leader, this is a strong opportunity to step into a role with real influence, autonomy and impact. Salary: £45,000 basic • £65,000 OTE Hours: Monday – Friday Why you’ll love this role * No Weekends! * Join a respected prestige dealership with a loyal customer base * Lead a well-established Service department with strong foundations already in place * Genuine autonomy to shape processes, performance and customer experience * Supportive senior management who trust you to lead, not micromanage * A role that balances people leadership with commercial responsibility * Long-term stability and progression within a successful automotive group What you’ll be doing (and doing brilliantly) * Planning, controlling and improving Service department processes and standards * Leading, coaching and developing the Service team to maximise performance * Ensuring sufficient resources are in place to meet workshop demand * Monitoring labour efficiency, labour sales and cost of sales * Reviewing KPIs, daily operating controls and departmental performance * Analysing customer needs and competitor activity to shape targeted initiatives * Managing dealership assets including tools, equipment and facilities * Controlling departmental expenses through budget and management account reviews What we’re looking for * Proven experience as a Service Manager or Aftersales Manager within a main dealer environment * Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate and inspire teams * Confident relationship builder with customers and internal stakeholders * Commercially minded with an entrepreneurial approach to Aftersales performance * Track record of delivering excellent CSI results * Strong understanding of vehicle design, manufacturer standards and legislation * Full UK driving licence Sound like you?
