An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Litigation Solicitor to join my clients team on a remote basis. My client is a fast growing UK-based business lender supporting small and medium-sized enterprises with short-term funding solutions. We are known for our commercially focused approach to credit, recoveries, and enforcement, and operate with a lean, highly effective in-house legal function. The role of the In-House Litigation Lawyer will be to oversee day-to-day legal matters across debt recovery, litigation, and insolvency. This is a dynamic role with real influence, suitable for someone looking to step away from traditional high-volume legal practice and into a commercially strategic position. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take responsibility for managing the company’s litigation and enforcement caseload, with a particular focus on contractual debt claims, statutory demands, insolvency proceedings, and post-judgment enforcement. Key Responsibilities • Manage the full lifecycle of litigation and enforcement matters • Draft and issue statutory demands, County Court claims, and relevant applications (e.g. N244, N379) • Oversee insolvency proceedings including bankruptcy and winding-up petitions • Prepare and review witness statements, consent orders, settlement proposals, and evidence bundles • Liaise with courts, enforcement officers, defendants, solicitors, and agents • Delegate and review legal casework carried out by internal paralegals • Monitor and maintain accurate records of all legal actions and outcomes • Provide legal guidance to internal teams on debt recovery strategy and compliance • Contribute to the development of internal legal templates, workflows, and procedures Requirements: • 1-4 years’ post-qualification experience in civil litigation or debt recovery • Solid understanding of County Court claims, enforcement, and CPR requirements • Familiarity with insolvency procedures, including bankruptcy and corporate winding-up • Excellent drafting skills and strong attention to detail • Confident in supervising and reviewing the work of paralegals and junior legal staff • Strong communication, organisation, and case management skills • Ability to work autonomously and contribute strategically within a small team Benefits: • Competitive base salary • Annual performance-based bonus scheme • Commission incentives • Flexible remote/hybrid working • Direct exposure to senior leadership and meaningful influence on business processes • Structured career progression into a Legal Counsel or Head of Legal role Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal Recruitment Limited.
