Job Title: Audiologist Job Type: Temporary / Permanent Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) Sector: Healthcare Salary: £25–£40 per hour (depending on experience, umbrella/PAYE options available) Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified and experienced Audiologist to join a dynamic and patient-focused team within a busy clinical setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients with hearing and balance disorders, providing high-quality audiological care, and supporting the delivery of exceptional clinical standards. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including ENT specialists, hearing therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and effective treatment for all patients. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments for adults and/or children, including pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, and speech audiometry. * Diagnose hearing and balance disorders and provide appropriate management and rehabilitation plans. * Fit, program, and verify digital hearing aids and assistive listening devices. * Provide aftercare, adjustments, and follow-up appointments to ensure optimal patient satisfaction. * Counsel patients and their families on hearing health, communication strategies, and use of hearing technology. * Maintain accurate, detailed clinical records in accordance with professional and legal standards. * Work collaboratively with ENT consultants, GPs, and other clinical teams to support integrated patient care. * Participate in service development initiatives, audits, and clinical improvement activities. * Adhere to infection control and Health & Safety standards at all times. Requirements: * BSc/MSc in Audiology or equivalent qualification. * HCPC or RCCP registration (or working towards registration). * Proven experience in audiological assessment and hearing aid fitting. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centred approach. * Strong IT literacy and familiarity with audiology software and electronic patient systems. * Ability to work independently and manage own caseload efficiently. Desirable: * Experience working within an NHS or private audiology service. * Paediatric audiology experience. * Competence in vestibular/balance assessments. * Knowledge of current NHS pathways and NICE guidelines
