Ideally needs to be a car driver due to location of the prison HMP Wymott has capacity of around 1,100, and has a varied and complex population. You will be working as apart part of the team and will be based within the healthcare department and be required to work on the prison wings. HMP Wymott Offers: Onsite parking Access to onsite gym Careers and development opportunitiesHours: Monday - Friday 18.75 hours per week 8am - 4pm Flexible on working days Salary: This position is part time role, you’ll receive an annual salary between £43,609 - £49,175 per annum FTE which will be pro rota - depending on experience. What you'll be doing As a Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will vary. You will Be responsible for the provision of occupational therapy assessment, treatment and evaluation. Provide visible and professional support to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care and rehabilitation aimed at improving or maintaining independence. Working with a caseload of patients with varying difficulties including complete health and social care needs; responding effectively to the changing needs of the patient caseload, managing the sometimes conflicting priorities of prevention of admission and discharge. You’ll assess and order equipment as identified by patient need and allocate work to OT assistant or care staff as necessary. Diploma/ degree in occupational therapy with current professional qualification (HCPC) Post registration experience and evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standardsAlthough not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
