Import / Export Clerk

Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Import / Export Clerk for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Slough, Berkshire area. Key Responsibilities:- * Coordinate and oversee multimodal transportation activities including air, sea & roadfreight. * Ensure efficient routing and scheduling of shipments to optimize transportation costs and delivery timelines. * Liaise with carriers, vendors, and clients to coordinate shipments and resolve any operational issues. * Manage documentation, customs clearance, and compliance requirements for international shipments. * Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. Requirements:- * Proven experience in multimodal operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry. * Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation. * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple shipments simultaneously. * Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Effective communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
