Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) | Locum | Pay up to £30 Adults Safeguarding Social Worker Locum Assignment | Office-Based (Mon, Weds, Fri) We are seeking a Qualified Social Worker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on a locum basis. This is a key role working at the frontline of safeguarding, where you will handle referrals, undertake enquiries, and work with multiple agencies to protect and support vulnerable adults. Role Overview: You will: Screen and process safeguarding referrals, gathering and analysing information effectively Undertake safeguarding enquiries under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014 Manage safeguarding risks, ensuring proportionate and person-centred outcomes Work collaboratively with partner agencies to coordinate effective safeguarding plans Complete assessments and care planning in line with eligibility criteria Communicate clearly with service users, families and professionals, ensuring their views remain central to all planning Prepare professional reports, ensuring timely and accurate recording of all casework Contribute to team development, including supervising students and supporting colleagues What We’re Looking For: Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration Strong experience in safeguarding referrals, screening, and enquiries Skilled in multi-agency working, with excellent communication and listening skills Confident managing complex caseloads and decision-making Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and related safeguarding legislation A commitment to reflective practice, professional development, and promoting independence for service users Contract Details: Locum role within the MASH team Office-based working required Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays Pay up to £30 per hour For more information, contact Ellis Russell at Sheldon Phillips: (phone number removed) Refer a friend and earn £300 if we place them!
