The role focuses on direct work with children and young people to prevent offending and re-offending through evidence-based interventions and thorough assessment. What You Can Expect: Hybrid working, with office base in St Helens and community-based visits Occasional court presence required in Liverpool Friendly, professional team with strong management support Child First principles at the heart of all interventions Duties and Responsibilities: Complete high-quality assessments and reports for court and panel Maintain accurate, timely records on relevant systems Deliver targeted interventions to reduce offending Manage an allocated caseload and meet statutory timescales Cover Youth Justice duty and attend court when required Requirements: Qualified Social Worker (SWE), NPS Probation Officer, or experienced Youth Justice Practitioner with PCEP Extensive youth justice experience essential – must hit the ground running Strong knowledge of court processes, child-first practice, and safeguarding Excellent communication and caseload management skills If you’re ready to make an immediate impact in a high-performing team, we’d love to hear from you.
