Logistics Manager


Experienced Logistics Manager required on a healthcare project in Oxford. With work commencing in the coming weeks, this is a great opportunity to be involved from the outset of a technically interesting and high-specification build. This is a temporary position with a 65–75-week program, so will keep you busy until late 2026. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the full site logistics plan – from materials procurement to delivery and distribution. * Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery schedules. * Maintain site organisation and cleanliness in line with health & safety and infection control standards expected on healthcare projects. * Monitor and manage site plant, including hoists, forklifts, and generators – ensuring service schedules, checks, and records are up to date. * Track stock levels, place timely reorders, and manage inventory efficiently across site. * Plan and optimise delivery routes and schedules to reduce downtime and avoid disruption to programme. * Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and project-specific site protocols. * Lead a team of logistics operatives – overseeing daily site movements and supporting site management to ensure smooth operations. * Proactively identify and resolve logistics challenges before they impact progress. Requirements: * Previous experience as a Logistics Manager on live construction projects (healthcare experience a bonus). * Valid SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS card, First Aid, and Traffic Management training. * Strong planning and coordination skills with a clear understanding of sequencing in relation to programme. * Proven ability to liaise with suppliers, manage subcontractor movements, and oversee plant and material schedules. * Clear communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused attitude.
