Job Title: Electrical Site Manager (Contract) Location: Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex Contract Type: Freelance / Contract Duration: 10 Months (Approx.) Day Rate: Competitive (DOE) The Company: Top 3 UK tier 1 contractor Project values in excess of £20 million pounds This company is currently at around £9.5 billion turnover per annum with ambitious growth plans over the next couple of years The company has £16 billion pounds worth of work in the pipeline for 2025 Project Overview: The client delivering a state-of-the-art new-build mental health unit in Bexhill-on-Sea as part of a wider NHS improvement scheme. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to oversee the electrical installation and delivery for this fast-paced, high-spec healthcare project. Role Purpose: As an electrical Site Manager, you will take full ownership of all electrical services on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and programme adherence. You will liaise directly with subcontractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver MEP works to the highest standards expected on a clinical healthcare project. Key Responsibilities: * Manage day-to-day site electrical activities in line with project schedule. * Monitor and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring compliance with design, specification, and H&S standards. * Oversee installation of HVAC, electrical, and medical gas systems. * Ensure all Electrical systems are installed and commissioned in line with NHS/public health standards. * Report progress and issues to the Project Engineer and attend weekly coordination meetings. * Manage site quality inspections, snagging, and documentation (RAMS, ITPs, test certificates, etc.). * Work collaboratively with mechanical and construction teams to ensure seamless MEP integration. * Ensure all site works adhere to statutory health and safety policies. Requirements: * Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager on healthcare or large-scale commercial projects. * SMSTS, CSCS (Supervisor/Manager level), and First Aid. * Strong knowledge of NHS HTM/HBN guidelines/public health (preferred). * Experience managing M&E subcontractors on new build projects. * Ability to interpret Electrical drawings and specifications. * Excellent communication and coordination skills. Desirable: * Mechanical engineering qualification (HNC/HND or higher). * Experience with BIM or digital construction tools. * Previous experience working with Tier 1 contractors
