Head of Technical 📍 Manchester | 💰 Up to £85,000 + Car Allowance/ vehicle + Bonus | 🏥 Critical Healthcare Accounts We’re recruiting a Head of Technical on behalf of a leading national FM provider to oversee technical compliance and asset strategy on a prestigious PFI healthcare contract in Manchester. This is a high-impact leadership role reporting into the Account Director, with responsibility for leading M&E strategy, lifecycle planning, and compliance across the hospital estate. You’ll manage a team of 3 and act as the technical lead on site, working closely with the Trust, third-party suppliers, and the internal central technical team. 🔧 Key Responsibilities: * Lead all technical disciplines across M&E and infrastructure systems * Own the lifecycle plan and align it with Clinical & Estates strategy * Ensure compliance with HTMs, HBNs, and all technical standards * Oversee delivery and handover of asset replacements and lifecycle works * Maximise asset uptime through proactive PPM and maintenance reviews * Act as the central point of contact for technical assurance across the account * Provide technical input on decarbonisation, lifecycle optimisation, and risk ✅ What We’re Looking For: * Electrical background with PFI healthcare experience * Chartered Engineer (or working towards) * HND (minimum) in an engineering discipline * Strong understanding of HTM/HBN, FM compliance, and lifecycle delivery * AP experience in a live healthcare setting * Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills 🎁 What’s On Offer: * Salary up to £85,000 * Company vehicle or allowance + bonus scheme * 25 days holiday + bank holidays * Life cover (2x salary) * Private healthcare, EAP & wellbeing app * Learning & development support * Discounts on shopping, gym memberships & more * CSR days + inclusive employee networks
