Architectural Technician – High-End Residential & Refurb Projects 🏗️ | Manchester Client | Up to £45K + £5K Car Allowance Location: Greater Manchester (office and site-based) Salary: Up to £45,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Posted by: Sourced Recruitment Group 🔍 The Opportunity Sourced Recruitment Group is working with a long-established and design-focused residential developer in the Greater Manchester area to find an adaptable and technically strong Architectural Technician. This role is a perfect fit for someone who’s passionate about residential design — especially refurbishments, conversions, and high-spec new builds. You’ll be joining a friendly, long-standing technical team with real knowledge and personality, on a flagship site set to run for several years just outside Manchester. Whether you come from a contractor, developer, or architectural practice background, our client is open-minded. What they’re really looking for is the right attitude, commitment to quality, and someone who’s excited to grow with the business. 🧱 What You’ll Be Working On * Producing accurate working drawings and technical details for a mixed-use residential scheme * Supporting the conversion and refurbishment of historic buildings into housing * Contributing to the design and delivery of new build homes within the site * Working closely with internal and external teams to resolve queries and manage technical outputs * Overseeing elements of groundworks and civil works coordination (don’t worry — training provided!) * Assisting in the long-term build programme on a site with planning longevity and complexity 💡 Why This Role? * Client welcomes both AutoCAD and Revit users – whichever you’re stronger on, they’ll invest in training * Opportunity to gain exposure to heritage refurbishment, new build, and civils – all on one major project * Strong internal mentoring – one of the senior team is set to retire in the next few years, opening a path to progression * The team is made up of genuine people who enjoy what they do and want you to do the same * You’ll be part of a business that builds standout developments with real character and detail ✅ What You’ll Need * Experience as an Architectural Technician or similar within housing or residential design * A background in practice, development, or main contracting is all welcome * Proficiency in AutoCAD or Revit (both is a bonus!) * Willingness to learn and adapt across refurbishment, new build and groundworks * Strong communication skills and ability to manage design intent into technical delivery 💷 The Package * Up to £45,000 basic salary * £5,000 car allowance * Excellent progression potential within the team * Long-term project stability and real variation in work * A social, down-to-earth office culture where you’ll be supported and challenged 👋 Interested?
