Senior Support Worker

Children's Residential Senior Support Worker for a fabulous solo bedded EBD home in Oldham - possibility to earn up to £37,154! The company already has 3 children's home up and running around the Oldham area. The company is known to be child centred and have a strong infra structure in place to support the staff members. The placements of young people that the company offer a home to are some on a 1:1 staffing ratio and some are on a 2:1 staffing ratio. This position is perfect for someone who is looking to make a real & meaningful difference in the lives of children & young people who have experienced trauma and abuse and have previous experience supporting young people who display challenging behaviours. In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive: ⚡ Excellent rate of pay of up to £37,154 ⚡ Average of 10 shifts per month 2 sleep in per week - 39 hours per week ⚡ 2 days on 4 days off with 10am start on shift ⚡ 1.25x pay for overtime ⚡ Fully funded training and development programme ⚡ Blue light card ⚡ Strong manager in place ⚡ Development plan to Deputy Manager level The role includes: ✅ Organising and accompanying the young people on social activities and appointments ✅ Building relationships with young people ✅ Recording the young person’s activity & reporting key aspects of their care ✅ Promoting the young person’s independence and developing their life skills The ideal candidate would have: ⭐ Experience of working with vulnerable children and young people ⭐ QCF level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare or equivalent ⭐ Excellent communication skills ⭐ The ability to build strong and trusting relationships with young people ⭐ The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations ⭐ Resilience and a positive outlook ⭐ A good level of IT literacy This is a fantastic opportunity if you are looking for a rewarding career where no two days are the same.
