Job Title - Senior Quantity Surveyor role Projects - Large New Build Industrial Projects Based in - Manchester office /site based The company - An blue chip, award winning company with a solid reputation are looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor. A successful tier one contractor with an enviable forward order book of North West industrial projects. Projects values - £10 million - £30 million in value The role The position available is for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based in the Manchester area. The chosen candidate is intended to join the UK North West Building division for involvement in a significant local construction project. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be a key member of the commercial team, responsible for overseeing various commercial management aspects such as Client Management Ensuring group policies and processes are followed Application/Payment/Cash Management Internal Reporting Procurement Supporting staff development. Integrate the commercial strategy, adapting it with Market Quantity Surveying (MQS) principles to suit the evolving project needs. Forecasting, Target setting, CV reconciliations, Preliminary controls Monitoring, risk/opportunity management, Oversight of junior commercial staff. Support the pre-construction department in tender processes, Managing claims and disputes, Interpret contract clauses The candidate Quantity Surveying or similar Degree - Preferable Industrial project experience (Ideal) Main Contractor experience - Essential A good understanding of all aspects of surveying and contractual procedures· Understanding of the financial implications of the methods and sequences of build· In-depth knowledge of the construction industry· Experience using JCT D&B suite of contracts Good knowledge of commercial and financial management systems and controls Strong personal organisational skills Ability to work alone but also as part of a team within a growing business· Computer literacy Computer literacy especially in Microsoft Excel Experience managing/Leading a team Solid and varied commercial/contractual knowledge Good knowledge of commercial and financial management systems and controls If you are interested in this position, then please contract Alexandra Smith either via email (url removed) or call me on (phone number removed) if you have any questions on this role or any of my other roles
