Theatre Nurse / Practitioner - Ophthalmic Location: Norwich Position: Theatre Nurse / ODP / Scrub Practitioner  Service: General Hospital Care: Theatre / Ophthalmic / Ophthalmology - Scrub Salary: Up to £40,000 Per Annum - negotiable depending on experience Hours: Full time or Part Time  Contract type: Permanent About the role: A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a driven and experienced Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join a highly reputable state of the art private eye clinic based in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to join their thriving theatre team on a permanent basis. The clinic is high performing and expanding and within his role you will be exposed to a wide range of specialities. The service practices some of the most advanced treatments offering a range of surgical procedures is specialist fields within Ophthalmology. This is a great opportunity for a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner to expand on their skills assisting patients undergoing procedures including cataract surgery in a fast pace environment.  Duties and responsibilities You will be working as a Theatre Nurse / Practitioner and will be responsible for: Ability to work in  fast pace high volume clinical setting Prepare patients for surgery Take them through the journey and reassure patients throughout Caring for patients after surgery recovering from sedation Review patient charts and confirm data Ensure medical equipment is prepared for surgery Follow surgeons' direction and pass medical equipment Monitor patients condition during surgery Medicine Management and Audits Who we're looking for Be NMC / HCPC registered - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions Eligibility to live and work in the UK without sponsorship At least 1 year experience working in theatres in the UK Ophthalmic / optometry / ophthalmology  experience highly desirable Interest in development and progression- this role offers the opportunity to complete the surgical assist course Benefits: Employees are offered a competitive salary as well as a comprehensive benefits package which includes but is not limited to: 4 day working week 33 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays + your birthday off Competitive annual salary Brand new site Private pension scheme Blue Light Card Death in service X3 of your salary  Access to a free 24/7 GP consultation service Excellent career progression opportunities - and regular salary increases  Great on-going training and career development from their own learning and development team Fantastic company culture Free Specsavers eye tests and vouchers worth over £200 Gym Membership  Private medical insurance Life assurance Free Parking Person Specification: All applicants must have a valid NMC / HCPC registration with no restrictions and full eligibility to live and work in the UK.
