Trainee Quantity Surveyor

We are currently seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor with specialized experience in Ductwork to join our team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to kick-start their career in quantity surveying within the construction industry. The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and support while gaining hands-on experience in estimating, cost management, and procurement processes for ductwork projects. Responsibilities: * Assist senior quantity surveyors in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for ductwork projects. * Conduct quantity takeoffs and assist in analyzing project specifications and drawings. * Support in the procurement process, including obtaining quotes, negotiating with suppliers, and issuing purchase orders. * Collaborate with project teams to monitor project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities. * Assist in reviewing subcontractor agreements and managing subcontractor relationships. * Track and report on project financial performance, including budget vs. actual costs and variations. * Support in preparing and submitting payment applications and valuations. * Participate in project meetings and provide support to project teams as required. Requirements: * Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. * Some prior experience in quantity surveying, ideally with exposure to ductwork projects. * Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs related to ductwork installation. * Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications. * Eagerness to learn and develop new skills within the construction industry. * Eligibility to work in the UK
