Academics are seeking a number of Support Workers to work at our Client School in Southend-On-Sea starting as soon as possible. Admission priority is given to children with SEMH, reflecting the school's commitment to inclusivity and providing specialized support for every student.Support Worker Responsibilities: Supporting children and young people with a range of SEMH needs, including trauma, depression, anxiety and social, emotional, and mental health needs. Promoting independence where possible, supporting life skills such as cooking and everyday finances. Managing behaviours within the classroom and being aware of triggers, using de-escalation techniques. Support Worker Requirements: Hold a Level 2 qualification or higher, such as an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. Have at least 6 months experience supporting children or young people with additional needs in a care of school setting. Be a strong and engaging communicator. Be compassionate, caring, and have a genuine desire to help young people overcome their barriers.
