Do you have experience teaching students with SEN/ASD? Do you hold a PGCE with QTS/QTLS? If you answered yes to the above, this may be the Numeracy Lead role for you! The Role – Numeracy Lead Qualiteach are actively recruiting for a qualified and experienced Numeracy Lead who will be responsible for class teaching and development of numeracy throughout the school. You will also be responsible for communicating to the whole staff on developments in your curriculum area. This post will require the ideal Numeracy Lead to teach students (7-19 years) with ASD and Complex Needs, planning and delivering lessons that fit the needs of the students. Due to the students’ needs, the ideal Numeracy Lead will need to have experience teaching students with SEN, preferably in a SEN school setting and have good knowledge of the curriculum. This is a TLR post and requires you to be responsible for ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality teaching and learning, for which you are made accountable, in Numeracy. ASD School – Numeracy Lead This thriving ASD school is located in Uxbridge, Hillingdon and caters for students aged between 4-19 years old with Special Educational Needs such as Autistic Spectrum Disorder. The school is very small and has around 210 students therefore, class sizes vary from 8-10 pupils along with 2 teaching assistants in class.
