Electrical Project Manager


Our client based out of Epsom has been building their strong reputation within mechanical and electrical installations nationally for over 40 years with a healthy turn-over exceeding £75m. Operating across three divisions they deliver a full range of services from concept and design through to construction, maintenance and security across a range of projects which include retail, storage, industrial, commercial office, healthcare, education and residential. As part of their continued success in winning new work, already securing target turnover into 2025, they now need to add an Electrical Project Manager to the team. You will be working across a range of projects, one of which is a new-build healthcare scheme near Camberley. As part of a phased construction programme, this is the first new wing comprised of a diagnostics centre and intensive care unit with an M&E value of £10m (circa £6m Mech and £4m Elec). Beyond this you will also looking after commercial office fit-out projects in the city, typically ranging in value up to £4m. This is a hybrid role which will consist of a combination of site and home, with the odd visit to the Epsom office. The successful Electrical Project Manager will need to: * Demonstrate successful delivery of healthcare and commercial office fit out projects * Be responsible for designing the programme and delivering it in a timely manner * Procurement * Manage the finances and variation accounts, health and safety as well as providing a snag free delivery * Be client facing and as such be comfortable with client liaison/being the main point of contact * Ensure successful handover with final accounts and that all O&Ms are completed * Demonstrate a proven track record in managing sub-contractors and their delivery To be considered you will require a strong management style, ability to form effective working relationships both externally and internally, be an excellent communicator, a problem-solver and an all-round good leader. Please note that previous UK experience is essential, along with having a relevant electrical qualification and background in construction
