Accountant

Accountant - up to £55k pro rata dependent on experience. This is a 4 day week on-site role Monday to Thursday 9- 5:30 (so you will enjoy a 3 day weekend!) The ACTUAL salary for this 4 day week will therefore be up to £44k pa + free on-site parking. Excellent salary to attract the right person. Originally a sister company of a long established company, they now, on successful completion of 2 projects, are a separate entity and looking to continue the growth of this successful venture. Role As Accountant you will enjoy a full and varied role reporting into the CFO. As the CFO is in the office 1 - 2 days per month you will be confident in your role as the sole accounting on-site person. Therefore your strong relevant experience is more important than qualifications. As Accountant your duties will include:- * Preparing list of accounts payable and preparing bank payments for authorisation. Entering payments on Barclays.Net * Entering financial information into Sage Accounting Online software, including encoding accounting entries for processing * Completing banking reconciliations * Managing company ledgers on Sage Accounting Online * Processing Business expenses * Preparing VAT returns and submitting to HMRC * Handling Accruals and prepayments journals on Sage Online * Reviewing computer reports for accuracy and tracing any errors back to their source, processing corrections where appropriate * Preparing monthly CIS returns for submitting to HMRC * Statutory filing of Confirmation Statements and changes of company details at Companies House Person * Strong experience of working in a similar accounting/book-keeping role * Good knowledge of sage accounting online and using Excel Spreadsheets * Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel) * Meticulous attention to accuracy and detail * Excellent written and communication skills * Organised with a positive and flexible disposition * Either AAT/ACCA qualification, QBE, or part-qualified, however the most important thing is strong relevant work experience In return you will enjoy being part of a small team within an innovative and entrepreneurial company, modern offices, free parking and a culture that celebrates success with all staff Accountant / Sole Accountant / Financial Accountant / Financial Controller / Finance Officer / Finance Manager / Assistant Accountant
