Full Time

Hours of work: 08 00 Monday to Friday.

Salary: GBP30,000.00 - GBP33,000.00 per year

3+ Years experience in a similar role.

Driving Licence required

ABOUT US:

CC Cousins are a busy, growing Facilities Maintenance company who have been established for more than 40 years. To further enhance our team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic in maintaining and repairing our diverse range of vehicles on a Full time, permanent basis.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Fleet Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of our fleet vehicle and plant. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and optimal performance of our vehicles, contributing directly to the success of our operations.

Our fleet is made up of over 60 vehicles and you would be responsible for the maintenance of these (along with various plant machine/ cherry picker on an ad hoc basis).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks, to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in fleet vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
  • Execute repairs efficiently and effectively, utilising appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and labour hours.
  • Collaborate with other team members to prioritise and manage workflow.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to fleet maintenance and repair.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in fleet maintenance.
  • Experience working with commercial Mercedes vehicles and Iveco.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's licence and clean driving record.
