We specialise in providing qualified and experienced tutors to work with young people who are not currently accessing mainstream education.
We are working closely with schools in Portsmouth, and have a high level of students right now that require tutoring in core subjects (functional skills) KS4 + KS5, to help them catch up on missed education.
This tuition will be delivered within the family home.
You will be supporting students across KS4 + KS5, some with special educational and complex needs including school refusers and those with high levels of anxiety. This may include those with autism, ADHD, SPD (sensory processing disorder), Speech and Language difficulties, as well those struggling with mental and emotional challenges such as trauma induced behaviour, social anxiety and low self-esteem.
You will have the chance to work with numerous students each day, making a real positve impact on their lives and ensuring their engagement in learning and their attendance increases. This will be continuous until the students feels comfortable enough to reintegrate full time in the school setting.
Specifically, we need a tutor who can commit to 4 days per week, 1 hour a day, to support a year 13 student who needs help with Maths (working towards Entry Level 3) and English (working towards L2 functional skills).
We will also be able to allocate you another student if needed, to increase hours.
