Job Title: Quality Inspector (Nights) Contek Recruitment are currently working with a Precision Aerospace Engineering client of ours, located in Southall, West London. As our client continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector with expertise in Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure the highest levels of precision and compliance in their manufacturing processes. Position Overview: They are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector with proven proficiency in the use of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM). This role demands meticulous attention to detail and an extensive understanding of quality control principles within the aerospace industry, or within engineering as a whole. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in upholding their commitment to excellence and reliability in precision aerospace manufacturing. Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough inspections of aerospace components using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with engineering specifications. * Utilize advanced metrology equipment, including CMM software and probes, to perform precise measurements and analyses of complex parts. * Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to develop inspection programs and ensure alignment with customer requirements. * Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including CMM reports and measurement data. * Collaborate closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary to optimize manufacturing processes. * Participate in internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality management systems and regulatory standards. Qualifications: * Demonstrated experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) in a precision manufacturing environment, preferably within the aerospace industry. * Proficiency in CMM programming, setup, and operation, including knowledge of software such as PC-DMIS or similar. * Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles and their application in aerospace component inspection. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data to identify root causes of quality issues. * Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.
