Job Advertisement: Senior Town Planner (6-Month Contract) Location: London Contract Duration: 6 Months Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 pro rata About Us: Join our client, a leading construction company committed to delivering innovative and sustainable projects. We are currently seeking a qualified Senior Town Planner to join our dynamic team on a 6-month contract basis. Position Overview: As a Senior Town Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing planning applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the successful delivery of our construction projects. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and coordinate planning applications, including preparation, submission, and negotiation. * Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform planning decisions. * Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and consultants to obtain necessary approvals and permissions. * Provide expert advice on planning policies, regulations, and best practices. * Collaborate with project teams to integrate planning considerations into design and construction processes. * Monitor and update project schedules to ensure timely completion of planning milestones. Qualifications and Experience: * Degree educated in Town Planning or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in town planning, preferably within the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies, and procedures. * Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Membership of a relevant professional body (RTPI) is desirable but not essential.
