SEN TA (Specialising in Challenging Behaviours) Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time Pay:SEN TA: £85 – £100 per day Location: Newham, East London Description: Newham, located in the vibrant heart of East London, is known for its rich cultural diversity and bustling urban landscape. Amidst this lively backdrop, our client, a reputable educational institution, seeks a dedicated SEN TA specialising in Challenging Behaviours to join their team. Role and Responsibilities: As an SEN TA with a focus on Challenging Behaviours, you will play a crucial role in supporting the diverse needs of students within our client’s school. Your primary responsibilities will include: • Providing one-on-one and group support to students with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours. • Assisting the class teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. • Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. • Collaborating closely with other members of the SEN team, classroom teachers, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of students. • Monitoring and documenting student progress, behaviour incidents, and interventions as per school policies and procedures. • Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge and skills in supporting students with SEN, especially those with challenging behaviours. Requirements: • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours, is essential. • A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues. • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (e.g., SEN TA certification, Team Teach training) would be advantageous. • Full-time availability and commitment to a long-term position within the school.
