Position Overview: As a Dual Fuel Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of gas and electricity meters. Your role is crucial in ensuring accurate and efficient metering operations while delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position requires strong technical proficiency in both gas and electrical systems, adherence to safety standards, and a customer-centric approach. Responsibilities: * Install and commission dual fuel smart meters at customers' premises in accordance with industry standards and company procedures. * Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of gas and electricity metering equipment. * Perform meter readings and ensure accurate data collection for billing and reporting purposes. * Respond promptly to service calls and troubleshoot issues related to metering systems. * Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and customer interactions. * Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations while performing all tasks. * Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally. * Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement initiatives. * Stay informed about industry developments, technology advancements, and regulatory changes affecting metering practices. Qualifications: * Proven experience as a Dual Fuel Engineer or similar role within the energy or utilities sector. * In-depth knowledge of gas and electricity metering systems and associated technologies. * Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., Gas Safe Register, NICEIC). * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. * Full UK driving license with a clean driving record. Education and Certifications: * Degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, electrical installation, or a related field preferred. * Gas Safe Registration and NICEIC accreditation (or equivalent) required. * Smart Metering Installation qualification (e.g., MET1, MET2) desirable.
