SEN Teaching Assistant for KS2 | Watford, Hertfordshire | Immediate Start £13 per hour, paid weekly 08:30-15:30 Temporary role, full-time until July 2024 Experience with challenging behaviour preferred An exciting opportunity awaits for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join one of our partnership schools in Watford as a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA). You'll be providing essential support to a key student who may exhibit challenging behaviour and some social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This role offers flexibility in hours for the right candidate and is temporary, but may become permanent from September 2024. The school is working with Randstad on a rolling basis and often has various roles that you could be suitable for. Responsibilities of your SEN TA role: Provide personalised support to the designated student throughout the school day Assist with academic tasks and activities tailored to the individual needs of the child Create a supportive and nurturing learning environment to promote the student's well-being Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement behaviour management strategies and individualised education plans (IEPs) Gain understanding of SEMH needs and utilise provided strategies to support the student effectively Maintain open communication with parents, offering updates on the student's progress and addressing concerns as they ariseRequirements of your SEN TA role: Previous childcare experience - essential Experience working with children displaying challenging behaviour - preferred Excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children facing diverse learning challengesBenefits of working with Randstad: Flexibility in working hours (08:30-15:30), with potential adjustments available Work term-time only Competitive hourly rate of £13, with regular pay reviews Full-time contract until July 2024, with potential for permanent placement Supportive and collaborative work environment within a reputable school community FREE professional development to enhance skills in special education If you're enthusiastic about making a meaningful difference in the life of a SEN student and meet the above requirements, we would love to hear from you.
