Financial Controller

Search are excited to be partnering hugely successful owner-managed SME based out in Leeds to assist in the hire of a Financial Controller. Reporting to the Managing Director and supported by an experienced Finance team, the successful candidate will overseeing day-to-day financial operations ensuring there is a robust controls environment. The Financial Controller will be the number 1 in finance offering support to the wider business through offering financial/commercial support to non-financial managers. Responsibilities: Oversee preparation of financial reporting Ensuring there is a robust control environment in place to manage financial risks and controls. Collaborate with the leadership team to proactively drive business results through better planning, budgets, and forecasts. Oversee monthly/weekly payroll Manage a small transactional team Manage the monthly accounting close process and year-end statutory accounts, maintaining strong relationships with auditors and tax accountants. Proactive development of processes and systems to add value.
