Site Manager / Engineer - NRSWA

Job Title: Site Engineer / Manager Location: Barnsley Industry: Building and construction Day Rate: £300 per day. PSR Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 Main Contractor who are looking to employ an experienced Site Engineer, or Manager on a Freelance basis. The contractor has several schemes across Yorkshire, working in a variety of sectors including commercial, education and industrial. Typical project values completed by the contractor range from £30m - £120m. You would report into a Project and Contracts Manager. It is important to note that the contractor is not simply seeking a setting out engineer, but someone who can be heavily involved in the 278 works package. Role and duties: Quality Assurance ITP's (inspection & test plan) Setting out Supervision of trades/ delivery teams Planning work packs and method statement/risk assessments for all work involved Chairing meetings, managing sub-contractors. Chairing stakeholder reviews. Mentoring team and ensuring training is kept up to date Attending planning and workshop Driving programme at a site level. Quantifying material and ordering through the procurement system Keeping accurate QA records or site progress. Reporting to weekly progress to Construction Manager and planning team. Working with the commercial team to build the scheme within budgetExperience/Qualifications: NRSWA Streetworks ticket (Essential) CSCS Card SSSTS / SMSTS HNC/HND or Equivalent On site experience as an Engineer including setting out and QA responsibilities Prior use of Microsoft Office Packages Use of AutoCADIf this sounds like a role you are well matched for then please complete the application form and include your most up to date CV for us to review.
