Job Title: Engineering Shift Manager Recruiter: Alaska Black Location: Northampton Salary: up to £52,000 Contract: Permanent The company My client are a highly regarded food manufacturing PLC. The business operates across the UK from several, well invested manufacturing facilities, delivering a fantastic range of premium products. As part of their continued growth, they now seek to appoint an Engineering Shift Manager at their site based near Northampton. The Role Reporting into the Engineering Department manager, the responsibilities of this role are crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of the site. You will be responsible for minimising machinery downtime, improving performance, engineer engagement, asset care programme, adopting a hands-on approach, maintenance coordination, crisis incident management and discipline and grievance. The person As well as the ability to work at pace, you will need to hold qualifications to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent, ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering), proven track record in an engineering and fault-finding role gained from an FMCG environment – ideally food manufacturing – and a good understanding of HACCP principles. IEE qualification up to 18th edition wiring regulations is desirable. You will need to have a proven track record of people management and delivering strong results through a team and have an assertiveness with the ability to make decisions on the spot. Interested?
