Who are we? * EPS (UK) Limited is an MV switchgear / substation designer and integrator / switchgear component manufacturer. We support prestigious customers in the Marine, Naval, Rail and Utility sectors. What are we looking for? * We are looking for a dynamic and highly driven Panel Wirer to join our Production Team in Nottingham. You will demonstrate a sound knowledge of Control Panels and High Quality Wiring methods. Your Role * You will form an integral part of the Production Team at EPS (UK), working alongside other experienced switchboard wirers, fitters, and fabricators. * You will be expected to be able to work independently and within a team, carrying out your work efficiently and to a high professional standard. * We carry out a variety of bespoke projects and you must be prepared to support other members of the Production Team with other duties if required. What are we looking for? A candidate who is / has: * a strong technical / experienced background with a minimum of 3 years in the switchgear / or a similar industry. * able to read Schematic drawings and G/A drawings and identify components. * able to carry out wiring and switchboard assembly to a high standard. * familiarity with ABB’s range of protection relays (for example, Relion) or GE & Schneider Protection relays (e.g. Micoms) or equivalents (desirable but not essential). * an understanding of wiring panels designed to withstand challenging marine / offshore environments. * able to effectively communicate using both verbal and written communication. * able to organise and prioritise work effectively. * able to take instructions with positivity and a can-do attitude. * the ability to encourage others, demonstrate energy and drive to grow with the company. * flexible and ready to undertake a variety of different and related tasks. * pride in good housekeeping and organisation. * willing to support a culture of continuous improvement, identify best practices and share knowledge and skills with other members of the Production Team. * capable of communicating potential issues and providing solutions / rationalising corrective actions / procedures. * willing to work overtime (at overtime rates) if required to ensure projects are delivered on time. * able to currently work in UK and be within commuting distance of our Nottingham factory
