Pharmaceutical Equipment Sales Account Manager


Our client, an international manufacturing engineering business based in the Stockport area, is now looking to recruit a Technical Sales Account Manager to join the team. This is a hybrid role working from Stockport, THAT INVOLVES INTERNATIONAL (EMEA) TRAVEL AS REQUIRED. JOB PURPOSE: To identify, pursue and negotiate sales for capital equipment product range and support the development of the wider global business strategy. MAIN DUTIES: THE JOB (Main Duties): • To establish and develop sustainable customer relationships at all organisational levels in a professional manner • To maintain regular direct contact with our customer base • To ensure awareness of our products and services with both existing and potential customers • To support the preparation of proposals and then to negotiate and secure orders and contracts that are profitable, commercially secure and technically sound • To actively manage agents, distributors and colleagues in the territory through sales and commercial support, regular performance reviews and product training. • To identify and report market requirements to the business to support the business and R&D strategy • To provide market information and competitor activity to support the development of our position in the industry CANDIDATE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • Ability to think strategically to support the development of the global business strategy • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Commercial acumen • Proven ability to focus on objectives and outcomes • Potential to identify and pursue prospects and show leadership in allocating the company’s resources • Problem solver able to quickly understand engineering and process concepts • Confidence, skill and presence to successfully negotiate • Excellent networking skills and ability to build a profile with customers and within the group
