Qualified Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant


Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for a Finance Assistant on behalf of our St Albans based accountancy client.

This role will ideally suit a part qualified accountant or an individual with at least 2-3 years experience working within a busy accounts department and looking to develop their accounts skills further, within a professional accountancy practice.

Essential Requirements:

  • Educated to A Level standard
  • AAT Qualificiation (desirable)
  • Must have a minimum of 2-3 years accounts experience in a similar role
  • Bookkeeping experience is essential
  • IT skills: Xero accounting is ideal
  • Strong Excel

Duties will include the following:

  • Supporting the month end process including tbe preparation and posting of month end journals to Xero
  • The opportunity to become involved in the preparation of the management accounts
  • Supporting the credit control team
  • Support internal payroll processes
  • Dealing with accounts queries etc.

Monday to Friday 37.5 hour week with flexi hours

Salary: Up to GBP36,000 pa depending on experience + Benefits Pension, Life Assurance
