Trainee Technical Sales Manager


Kingsley Consulting is engaged with a well-established Roofing Product & Systems Manufacturer to recruit a Trainee Technical Sales Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.   Our client partner is one of the UK’s leading Manufacturers and Suppliers of Flat Roofing Waterproofing Systems, Metal Fabrication, Green Roofing Systems and Solar PV. The business have a fantastic pedigree in their sector and are very well established with a fantastic culture within their team.    This Trainee Technical Sales Manager position will be focused on building and developing strong relationships with Architects, Surveying Practices and Construction / Roofing Contractors selling through the specification route to market. While prior experience working in specification is beneficial, it is not mandatory as this opportunity offers an excellent opportunity to receive comprehensive training, dedicated support, and continuous development within the industry. Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + Attractive bonus structure Benefits: Company Vehicle + Additional benefits Location: Remote Based (With Travel to North / West of London and surrounding areas) Key Responsibilities: Learn and develop a solid understanding of the roofing industry and become well-versed in the range of products and services offered by the company through comprehensive product training. Learn the intricacies of specification sales, collaborating with architects, contractors, and industry professionals to secure project specifications. Build and maintain strong relationships with these clients, understanding their unique needs, and providing tailored solutions. Receive training on effective sales techniques and strategies to promote products and solutions successfully. Assist in creating compelling proposals and presentations, showcasing the benefits of the company products and solutions.   Skills & Experience: Previous experience working in a Sales or Specification focused position in the construction industry. Experience in specification sales route to market or knowledge of this would be advantageous. Knowledge of Roofing/Waterproofing Products would be highly desirable but not essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities. Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic sales environment.
