Pharmacy DISPENSING ASSISTANT NVQ Level 2

My client, based in East Leeds and is a pioneer in the area of online prescriptions, now expanding the current team and looking for a

Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant,

reporting directly to the Pharmacy Manger and joining a well-established team.

Main purpose of the role

As the pharmacy assistant you will work under the direct supervision of the pharmacy manager and will carry out day-to-day activities connected with the preparation and supply of medicines

Primary Responsibilities

• Select, label and dispense correct items by standard operating procedures to ensure safe supply to patients.
• Dispensed controlled drugs by standard operating procedures to ensure legal compliance.
• Ensuring the safe and correct supply of dispensed items to patients.
• Identify medication administration problems such as medicine interactions and other physical factors that may affect patient compliance.
• Updated patient medication records by data protection principles to ensure patient confidentiality.
• Assist with stock control and inventory procedures
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and understanding of pharmacy issues to continue professional development.

Person Specification

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or will be enrolled to achieve this
• Commitment to continuing professional development and training.
• Trustworthy and understanding of confidentiality
• High level of concentration.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work effectively to deadlines
• IT literate.

This is a full-time position paying between GBP23,000. to GBP25,00 depending on experience and qualifaction

Hours of work: Monday to Friday and 1 Saturday per month
