Cable Jointers

We are seeking skilled LV/HV Scottish Power Jointers to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical networks.

The ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills related to computer networking and equipment repair.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) electrical systems in compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with team members to execute projects efficiently and safely.
• Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilise schematics to guide installations and repairs accurately.
• Assist in the installation of network systems, including Ethernet and CCTV setups.
• Perform equipment repairs on various hardware, including Cisco Routers and Juniper devices.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Jointer or Mate within the electrical sector is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in computer hardware, network installation, and computer networking is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Avaya systems and other related technologies is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment repair and maintenance.
• A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work is essential.
