Secondary Teacher


Smart Education is currently recruiting for Secondary School Teachers to work in a variety of mainstream and specialist secondary schools across the Teesside area . We are seeking subject specialists in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, PE, Languages, and more, for both short-term and long-term placements.

Job requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
Experience teaching in secondary school settings (NQTs/ECTs welcome)
Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
Ability to plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons
Strong communication and organisational skills
An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Role responsibilities:

Teaching your subject to students across KS3 KS5
Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to mixed abilities
Marking and assessing pupil work in line with school policies
Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Supporting the academic and personal development of students
Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
Contributing to departmental planning, meetings, and CPD
