Geomembrane Installer Technician

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Geomembrane Installation Technician located in Nayland (working nationally). As a Geomembrane Installation Technician, your day-to-day tasks will involve the installation of high-performance Geomembranes. You will work on various projects, ranging from large lagoon liners to smaller lake and pond projects for golf clubs, farms, and private homes. Your expertise in recommending the best Geotextiles and Geomembranes, and designing efficient and long-lasting lining combinations will contribute to successful project outcomes. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety standards throughout the installation process.

Job Description for Geomembrane Installer Technicians (including but not limited to):
Reviewing project drawings/instructions to ensure construction requirements are understood
Setting-up wedge welders and extrusion welders and documents
Ensuring that the correct material is used for specific jobs
Operating complex welding tools including wedge welders and extruding machines that require regulation of temperature, pressure, speed, and flow of operation
Ensuring correct methodology is used to fabricate geomembrane materials including measurements, cutting, shaping, and fitting
Reporting any faulty equipment to the Supervisor and undertaking repairs of equipment. Performing both preventative and corrective maintenance of welding equipment
Performing geomembrane welding unsupervised, using products including HDPE, Polypropylene, LLDPE and any other applicable products
Testing the integrity of all plastic welds and ensuring all welds meet the minimum requirements
Assisting fill sandbags and deploy sheets of material
Undergoing training in the use of appropriate plant and equipment

What we're looking for
Solid work history and experience working as a Geomembrane Technician
Current CSCS card
Ability to understand and follow instructions
Be a recognised team player and have the ability to work in a team-based environment
Commitment and a good attitude towards safety and culture
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as manual labour
Ability to work under pressure
Willingness to grow and develop within a dynamic, changing environment
Understand and work to all Health & Safety Guidelines
Ability to perform quality welding and construction techniques
Highly desirable TWI certification

Working Week : Typically 8.00 am - 4.30 pm with occasional weekend working paid as overtime at a higher rate (time and a half) and (double time).
Annual Wage : Generous remuneration and benefits are offered to suitable, hard working candidates.
