Seabank Power Limited owns and operates a 1140MW power station located in Hallen, Bristol.

The role of Operations Technician is now available within our
production department.

The Operations Technician role comes with a starting salary of £49,881, rising to £59,881 following a successful probationary period. Additional overtime (x1.5) available to cover shifts and during outage periods. The current benefits package includes but is not limited to private medical; annual bonus; salary sacrifice pension; flexible working; social events; cycle to work and EV leasing schemes.

The Role

The duties for the post include:

  • Being part of a shift team that operates a CCGT power station using a DCS system
  • Ensuring the plant is operated safely, efficiently, and with due regard to the environment
  • Operating the day-to-day interfaces between Seabank Power Limited, its customers, and National Grid
  • Carrying out routine operational checks, first line fault finding and troubleshooting to ensure plant availability is maintained
  • Preparation of plant for maintenance, including the implementation of Seabank Safety Rules
  • Helping to implement the SPL emergency procedures

The Person

Applicants shall:

  • Have previous experience performing the role or its equivalent
  • Have a recognised engineering qualification
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate a sound engineering approach
  • Have an understanding of CCGT power station plant or similar Process Technology
  • Be able to work flexibly and on their own initiative
  • Be able to make technical decisions based on available information
  • Be computer literate with a good operational knowledge of DCS systems
